How to Use

Osmocote pellets are commonly placed directly into sarracenia and nepenthes pitchers, or placed into the planting hole of venus flytraps, sarracenia and sundews. The pellets slowly release nutrients over time, helping mimic the benefits that carnivorous plants receive from capturing insects.

*Do not place pellets in venus flytrap traps, I have tried this and it commonly kills the trap due to releasing too fast. 

A little goes a long way, making this 3 oz bottle an economical way to fertilize your carnivorous plant collection. One bottle will typically have around 1,000 Osmocote pellets.

Application

Maxsea is typically applied as a diluted foliar spray or directly to traps and pitchers, allowing carnivorous plants to absorb nutrients similarly to how they would digest insect prey. Always follow recommended dilution rates and avoid over-fertilizing.

Recommend dilution rates range from 1/4 t-spoon to 2 t-spoon per gallon of water. The most common dilution that's recommended is 1 t-spoon per 1 gallon of water. 

Mist venus flytraps and sundews with diluted Maxsea. Do your best to avoid getting solution on soil or substrate. Use a spray bottle to fill up sarracenia pitchers. I do offer the spray bottle and misting bottle individually, or you can buy the Maxsea in a kit with both a spray bottle and spray bottle.

Maxsea Mixing Guide:
This 16 oz bottle holds approximately 1/8 gallon. When mixing Maxsea fertilizer directly in the bottle, use 1/8 of the fertilizer amount recommended for one gallon of water.

Example: If your feeding schedule calls for 1 teaspoon of Maxsea per gallon, mix 1/8 teaspoon into a full bottle of water.
