The soil is well sifted. All the larger debris has been removed. It begins to absorb water quickly and the crushed glass creates a shimmering effect as well as being effective as a soil additive. All at an affordable price, you should really give this product a try. Great job.

I accidentally ordered 6 pots instead of 3 and he contacted me to clarify if I wanted 3 or 6 pots then refunded the extra 3 pots. He didn't have to do that and I so appreciated it! High quality substrate for my VFTs, they are happy. Will definitely buy from him again.

I’ve recently fallen down the rabbit hole of carnivorous houseplants, and honestly, I had no idea where to start. Thankfully, I stumbled across the Carnivorous Plants Hub YouTube channel and learned so much about caring for my pinguiculas and droseras. So of course, I had to try their Premium Pinguicula Soil Mix for my new rock bowl setup—and wow, I’m obsessed.

As soon as I repotted them, my pings started thriving! They plumped up, took on the most gorgeous colors, and just look so happy and healthy (plus, they’ve been catching plenty of meals!).

This mix is incredibly well-balanced—a thoughtful blend of ingredients that gives pinguiculas exactly what they need: excellent drainage, just the right amount of moisture retention, and airflow around the roots to keep them thriving. As a beginner, I never could’ve put that together on my own! You can definitely tell Carnivorous Plants Hub knows their stuff. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be ordering carnivorous soil mixes from anywhere else.

And the mix itself? Stunning. The crushed glass sparkles beautifully in the light and adds such a magical touch—it really elevates the whole setup and catches the eye in the best way.

Where do I begin, long story short I messed up and bought a lot of Venus Flytraps and needed planters and substrate. I looked around at my options and chose Carnivorous plants hub for this task. The communication with Brooks was great, super fast shipping and everything was top notch. The glass in the substrate provides a nice sparkle in the sun. I highly recommend. I just messed up and bought more plants so rinse and repeat. Buy with confidence.
